How Many Years...The new track How Many Years is now up and ready for streaming. This retrospective piece was written for piano and orchestra and took some time to become what it is now. This time it came from the best place, just hearing it in my head. It did not have to fit the clients video, it did not have to be anything but just what I heard inside. What a wonderful start for making music! I enjoyed the process of writing and producing this piece very much. Hope you will have a second to hear it on my Music page in Soundtracks folder, the album Future Films. And let me know if you liked it! ![]() V-Piano Worldwide TrailerI am excited to include on my site the trailer for an amazing V-Piano by Roland. I was thrilled to have an opportunity to compose and produce the soundtrack for this video. Especially, considering that I played piano since I was four, and that the V-Piano is just as amazing as they say. Check the trailer on the video page, and tell me what you think if you got a second! ![]() Another Beginning...Recently I got a call from my old friend and collaborator, Neal Schon with an invite to start on a new project together. He wanted it to be very different than some of our past work released on Higher Octave or his last album I ON U. His vision is something meatier and more aggressive. I’m working on a series of ethno-cinematic drum-beds which will deliver a larger sound. We are planning on some writing sessions in April, but so far it’s been fun. We’ll see where it takes us and will keep you posted along the way… ![]() Site update! The brand new The Videos page was just created by Igor's dear friend and fierce web developer Joe Sparacio. It was time to add visual works that Igor had a chance to work on throughout the years to this site. and now it is up! The picture is worth a thousand words they say... So make sure to give it a click! ![]() Work in progress...Igor Len is currently working on the forthcoming release of State 51's (Igor's electro-project) first album - US vs. US. This project will consist of previously performed tracks (now mixed in a studio environment) as well as a series of new compositions. All of them will be connected by the underlining subject: human nature of self-destruction. ![]() Another remix...Igor Len completes a remix track commissioned by veteran composer and keyboardist David Garfield. The original instrumental composition was a stadium-rock style anthem written for LEN - the governing body of 50 national European Swimming Federations. At the heart of the track was an uplifting theme reflecting on the main messages carried by sport, that is: love, understanding, friendship and peace amongst the Nations. The challenge for Igor was to bring this track into contemporary electronic world, making a piece that will live on the same album and be more of a "radio remix." Other musicians on this project included: Don Henley, Richard Marx, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gregg Bissonette, Airto Moreira and more. Check this track on THE MUSIC page in Remixes! And make sure to visit David Garfield's website at www.creatchy.com ![]() Recording the Spruce Goose of PianosNo, it is not a giant harp... Igor spent a week recording the biggest piano of them all - The Imperial Bosendorfer. The recorded material will be used on the future sound design projects, but the time spent at the side of this magnificent instrument will be something to remember forever! And what is up with those extra keys....? ![]() The Child Is BornOn November 27, 2006 Igor and Marinella Len welcomed their first child, Lucia Bella Len.
